Columbia River Walk: Plants

The riparian zone provides important habitat for people and wildlife. The edges and transitional zones allow animals to take cover, forage and raise their young. Plants in the wetlands provide important buffers for humans, too. Join a Water Center educator and walk along the riparian zone to learn about the trees, flowers and shrubs calling these edges home.

Plan to walk 1.5 miles on uneven terrain, paved paths and muddy/sandy beaches. All ages are welcome. Advance registration is required. Please note that space is limited. You will receive a confirmation letter with full event details and meeting location after registration.
