Earth Day Celebration

🌎EARTH DAY CELEBRATION🌍
Join us on April 20th from 12pm – 2pm in our Center Court for a special Earth Day celebration.

During the event, children and their families can participate in a variety of eco-friendly activities, including an interactive recycling game, an opportunity to play with sustainable toys provided by Wishes Toys, Books, & Games, a chance to plant seedlings that children can take home to watch them grow, a kids craft station where children can make their own re-used or re-purposed creations, and sign a pledge to promise to take care of the earth.

This event is free and open to the public. (While Supplies Last)

🍃VANCOUVER MALL: DOING ITS PART🍃
As Earth Day celebrations get underway, it’s also important to note that Vancouver Mall and its owner, Centennial, have been responsible stewards of the environment in the Vancouver area. Centennial created its “SEE Centennial” program to help lead the properties it owns and manages toward the goal of making the next evolution of each shopping center a greener one.

SEE Centennial was built on the three cornerstones of Sustainability, Efficiency and the Environment, something each of the company’s owned or managed shopping centers is encouraged to embrace.

By implementing SEE Centennial principles, at Vancouver Mall, the center’s individual conservation efforts diverted 29% of the shopping center’s waste products from landfills, a significant environmental benefit for Southwest Washington and the Portland, Oregon, metropolitan area. Other important milestones Vancouver Mall has achieved over the past year include:

· 176 Tons of Waste Material Recycled
· 5,857 Cubic Yards of Landfill Space Saved
· 2,987 Mature Trees Saved
· 70,278 Gallons of Oil Conserved
