Bring your friends and family to a special Free Friday Night Movie in Esther Short Park! This week, as a part of the Vancouver Arts and Music Festival, join us for a showing of the 1961 classic, West Side Story (PG). “A musical in which a modern-day Romeo and Juliet are involved in New York street gangs. On the harsh streets of the upper west side, two gangs battle for control of the turf. The situation becomes complicated when a gang member falls in love with a rival’s sister.”

Start your weekend off right with the Friday Night Movies in the Parks presented by HAPO Community Credit Union. Arrive at 7 p.m. to enjoy fun activities from our community partners before the movie begins. Friday Night Movies are free and open to all ages! All movies are close captioned. Food and refreshments are available to purchase from local vendors or bring a picnic to enjoy. Lawn chairs or outdoors blankets are encouraged as seating is not provided. Alcohol is not permitted in parks.
