Learn to knit in this beginner-friendly knitting class designed for absolute beginners! In this class, you’ll make a simple garter stitch coaster while learning the foundational knitting skills you need to keep practicing at home.

This class is perfect for anyone with little to no knitting experience. We’ll walk through the basics step by step, including how to cast on, work the knit stitch, bind off, and finish your project. You’ll leave with the confidence to continue building your knitting skills.

What You’ll Learn:

• Long tail cast-on
• Knit stitch, either English or Continental style
• Optional: purl stitch
• Bind-off
• How to weave in ends

Supplies:

• Size US 7 or US 8 knitting needles
• Worsted weight yarn
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Cotton yarn works especially well for knit coasters, but any worsted weight yarn will work for class.
