Leaf Plates – Hand Building Workshop

Create a plate or dish with the impression of a leaf or leaves of your choice in this 1.5 hour workshop at the studio. Bring your own leaves, or we will have a few here for you to use!

In this hands-on class, you’ll be guided step-by-step by one of our studio instructors to create a plate or dish with your leaf texture pressed into it. No prior pottery experience needed! You’ll learn various hand building techniques as you craft your pieces, and come away with some new skills.

After the workshop, we will bisque fire your pieces and glaze them in one color of your choice from our class glazes.

Here at Kilnfolk, we are all about creativity fostering connection with friends and family, so we encourage you to bring a friend or loved one along to share in this experience.

Workshop Details:

-Date & Time: Thursday September 24th 6:30-8:00pm, Sunday October 4th 3:30-5:00pm, Saturday October 24th 10-11:30am, Sunday November 1st 3:30-5:00pm.

-Location: Kilnfolk Clay Studio, 108 W 6th Street, Vancouver, WA 98660. Metered street parking downtown, or secure parking is available one block away in the Lot #18 Park ‘n Go Vancouver Center Garage.

-Price: $55 per person

-What’s Included: 1.5 hours of guided instruction, materials, and one single color glazed and fired plate or dish to be picked up a few weeks after the workshop.

-Attire: Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. Feel free to bring your own apron.
