Northwest

West Vancouver • Clark County, WA

Northwest is a mix of old charm and new. Until the 50s, the area was a vast farm land where farmers grew the country’s famous prunes and other crops. The west side of this neighborhood enjoys beautiful sweeping views of Vancouver Lake while the north side enjoys greenery views of Burnt Bridge Creek. One particular subdivision to point out is the Heathergate community. It was named by a prominent couple name Don and Elizabeth Stewart who sold 56 acres south of Bernie Drive and west of Lincoln Ave to be developed. The couple then donated 12 acres to the city to be preserved nature. That area is named Stewart Glen after the couple and you can find it at the corner to Bernie Drive and Lake Shore Ave. Today, the area has been throughly developed but you can still find the feeling of living in the country in this neighborhood.
