This area covers Oakbrook together with neighboring Burton Ridge, two established east-Vancouver neighborhoods about six miles from downtown near I-205. As the name suggests, oaks are the theme — from the old-growth giants at Oakbrook Park to the oak-lined fairways of the Royal Oaks Country Club.
Burton Ridge climbs a two-tier ridge, with a grove of mature conifers separating the levels and views toward Mount St. Helens from the upper tier. Oakbrook, just west of I-205, centers on its leafy park and quiet, well-kept streets. Together they offer a settled, green, family-friendly feel with quick freeway access.
Housing ranges from 1970s and 1980s ranch and split-level homes to 1990s-and-later contemporary builds, so there’s real variety across the area.
