Rose Village

West Vancouver • Clark County, WA

Includes Rose Village and Fourth Plain Village

Rose Village sits in central Vancouver just east of the I-5 and downtown area and south of Highway 500. Like several of its neighbors, it grew up fast during World War II to house workers from the nearby Kaiser Shipyards — Vancouver’s population more than quadrupled in 1942, and many of those new families landed right here.

That history shows in the housing: gridded streets of one-story Craftsman bungalows and mid-century ranch homes, most built by the 1940s and ’50s, many on generous lots with mature trees. It’s an older, affordable, working neighborhood that has been steadily reinvesting in itself, with an active neighborhood association focused on preserving its character.

The big draw is location and value. You’re about ten minutes from Portland on I-5, minutes from downtown and the Fourth Plain international dining corridor, at prices that tend to run below Vancouver’s pricier close-in neighborhoods.
