Camas

Camas/Washougal • Clark County, WA

Everyone knows about Camas but did you know that Camas actually extends northeast into the rural area of Creswell Heights? Historically known for the Georgia-Pacific papermill, Camas was actually an undesirable place to live in because of the paper stink but as the mill operation decline, Camas exploded in popularity. Camas is defined by a few different areas:
Downtown Camas – Established around 1920-1950s this area of town is charming and quaint. You have a mix of cottages and cape cods with basements. You might find homes with 1 car garage but most likely you'll be parking on the street or driveway.
West Camas (aka Vancouver/Camas) – This is a popular area and includes famous neighborhoods like Prune Hill. People love this area because you can have a Camas address with Vancouver amenities. Prune Hill, as the name suggest, is on a hill and is one of the go to spots to find homes with a view of the Columbia River.
Lacamas Lake – One of the most beautiful areas in the county, Lacamas Drive is lined with multimullion dollar homes with views of the lake. Many of the homes have direct access to Lacamas Trail and the boat dock.
